Bluffton High School has approximately 1470 students in grades 9-12. Our doors opened in 2004 accepting students from an overcrowded Hilton Head High School and students from H.E.McCracken Middle. Bluffton High School sits in the Bluffton School complex which houses the high school, H.E.McCracken Middle and Bluffton Elementary. It is surrounded by practice fields, tennis courts, baseball and softball stadiums and our multisport stadium for football, lacrosse and soccer. Our physical plant houses multiple computer labs, a state of the art media center, a weight room and auditorium as well as instructional classrooms. Our fine arts wing boasts classrooms areas for art, ceramics, choral and instrumental music, dance and photography.

It is our philosophy that success is the result of dedication and “smart” work. Students are encouraged to work to their potential as they prepare for their future. Our dedicated staff continually examines teaching strategies, learning styles and social interaction. This examination accompanies revision, development and implementation of the infused curriculum based on the South Carolina Core Curriculum Standards.

Mission Statement: To ensure excellence in education for every learner that prepares each with the knowledge, skills and personal responsibility to succeed in a rapidly changing global society.
